General Consultations

Initial consultations run for 90 minutes and include a full health interview including discussion of health history, current systems review, diet, exercise, lifestyle, sleep, digestion, skin/hair health, reproductive system, stress levels and emotional health. A physical examination will include iridology, zinc test, nail/tongue examination and body fat/muscle mass analysis to assess general health.

A program is then tailored to suit you including specific dietary and lifestyle advice and the prescription of herbal and nutritional supplements if necessary.

* Short appointments available for adults and children with acute illnesses - herbal and nutritional treatments for cold, flu, respiratory conditions, rashes etc.

Gastrointestinal / Liver Detoxification

Specific 6 week integrative programs are available for liver detoxification and weight loss. The program is split into 3 phases lasting 2 weeks each, beginning with gut cleansing, followed by kidney cleanse and gut healing, finished off with liver detoxification. A combination of dietary guidelines and natural supplements are given to support the body through detoxification. The modern diet is full of processed foods, sugar, salt, fat, additives and preservatives which puts the body into an acidic picture. Detoxification alkalises the body for optimal health.

Weight Loss

The Metagenics Shake-It Program is a strict dietary and meal replacement program with safe, effective and proven results. Results are measured using bio-impedance scales on a weekly/fortnightly basis. Patients measure their own progress daily using urinary Ketostix. Depending on your level of health, the Shake-It Program us usually preceded by the 6 Week Integrative Detox. Make an appointment to discuss this detailed and successful program.

Preconception / Pregnancy Care

3 month preconception programs are available for couples aiming to conceive in the near future, with a focus on healthy sperm production for the male and increasing nutritional status and health of the ovum for the female. Supplementation and nutritional advice is then continued for the mother-to-be right through until birthing and the post-natal period. Treatments to enhance fertility for those having difficulty conceiving are also available.
